Alexander Promenade gives way to the fairground and Bridlington harbour. Photographing the wooden wave breaks at North Beach, this is the wonderful East Yorkshire coast.

Bridlington harbour or harbourfront photography, I have fond childhood memories of Brid and try and do the place justice through my photography whenever I have a chance to visit for Waffles with Cream and Fish and Chips, as-ya-do!

The Gansey Girl statue serves as a poignant tribute to the generations of fishing families that have relied on the sea for their livelihoods along the East Coast. This bronze sculpture beautifully captures a moment in time, portraying a young woman skillfully knitting a gansey, the iconic jumper synonymous with the resilience of fishermen.

Bridlington or Brid Harbour would not be the same without the famous Pirate Ship ~ the best £3 for 10 minutes around the bay you've ever spent! Or go mad and take the pirate ship to Flamborough Head, North Landing or Bempton Cliffs, that will cost you more than £3 though :)

Bridlington or Brid, if you're from Yorkshire, is 62 miles from my house. Driving to Brid is always a weather gamble, I've had rain, sleet, snow, thunderstorms and frost but what a sunrise I was rewarded with this morning ~ Breathe, smell the sea air, exhale, and enjoy.
