Adobe Says: Delete Your Older Software Versions Now Or Else!

Quote

More from the Adobe CC saga, whatever next!! 🙄

It's a trifecta of issues at Adobe over the last few weeks. Now, only 2 days after removing all downloadable versions of cloud-based software from their website older than 2 iterations back, they are sending their customers letters ordering the removal of any older CC software or risk a possible copyright infringement claim by a third party! This is not a joke even though some might think it is. It seems that Adobe is currently being sued by multiple sources and one of which is Dolby who as of March 2019 claims Adobe has infringed on their intellectual property and breached their contract. What next in this Adobe saga? - JCristina

Currently looking at ways to drop Photoshop and Lightroom CC and end my subscriptions to adobe, I almost have Lightroom covered with the excellent Luminar 3 but finding replacing photoshop a little harder, any ideas all?

What about Corel Photopaint? It is part of the Corel Draw suite. It is a very competent software. They finally added non-destructive effects for bitmap and vector objects.

Depending on what you do it may be a good replacement.

It's been years since I last looked at Corel products. I will check Corel Draw suite and paint out and see how they have come on in recent times.

Thank you for the suggestion 👍
