Adobe causes uproar in the photography community

I'm sorry Abobe, now you have me (for one) on the monthly subscription package, if you think you can up the subscription price 100% overnight from £9.95 a month to £20 a month as you have been testing on your website, you have another thing coming, Luminar and others are far too good these days for Photoshop and Lightroom to have a monopoly. I for one and many others will not stand for it and go for good. Let's see where this one goes...

Last week Adobe tested a NEW Photography Plan Subscription Price Model which doubles their current rate from $9.99/mo to $19.99/mo. That's right, a 100% price increase! Photographers took to arms and lit up social media resulting in a possible all-out revolt against Adobe. - JCristina

Wow that's an increase! I'm glad I use the free stuff (I do donate to the projects). I see that with Window's where they have to keep selling stuff so they are always making changes - they have to so they can pay their staff and report growth to their shareholders! Open source though makes changes through collaboration and hopefully the changes are mostly positive.

An increase indeed! I must have a look at some of the open source stuff out there, and save myself some money in the long run.

Thank you for posting.
