A great afternoon with the camera walking amongst an amazing collection of weird and wonderful rock formations.
Brimham Rocks are balancing rock formations on Brimham Moor in North Yorkshire, England. The rocks stand at a height of nearly 30 feet in an area owned by the National Trust which is part of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Geologists have dated the rocks at around 320 million years old. A large river originating in Norway, and passing through the mountains of northern Scotland, washed grit and sand into a delta that extended across much of the county of Yorkshire.
