The good thing, if I can find one, of being at home after breaking a rib after a fall in the snow, is having time to think about photography and all the great people who teach and inspire me on a weekly basis through platforms like YouTube. Currently, when I need inspiration I look no further than Leeds based, professional Yorkshire photographer Gary Gough.
Back in 2017, Gary decided to set aside one day a week away from his busy photography work in his Leeds studio to go out and about with the camera and start vlogging on YouTube.
On this rare occasion, Gary and his friend set aside 5 days for a landscape photography journey to the Lake District National Park. In parts 1 and 2 of the video series Gary shows not 1 but 36 images, all of which made my jaw drop and deserve to be in a frame!
We were based just outside of Keswick which is on the northerly border of the Lake District. In fact, the amazing stately home was uniquely sat on a hill that had views north to Scotland, east to Cumbria and south to the Lakes. How’s that for location, location, location. We stayed in an amazing cottage on the grounds of the stately home. – Gary Gough
Make a brew, sit back, and watch the freezing cold mornings that Gary and Pete endured to bring us these very well made and inspiring videos…
